Dissertation Title: Psilocybin-Induced Structural Plasticity and the Role of 5-HT2A Receptors

I conducted my thesis work in Dr. Alex Kwan’s lab at Yale’s Department of Molecular Psychiatry (formerly at Yale School of Medicine, now at Cornell University’s Meinig School of Biomedical Engineering). Throughout my time in the lab, I investigated how psychedelics influence the brain to shape behavior, conducting pioneering research elucidating the neuroplasticity-promoting actions of psilocybin. My dissertation work focused on the neurobiological mechanisms underpinning psilocybin’s therapeutic and neuroplasticity-promoting actions.
