Science Communication
Effectively conveying science to the general public is essential for harnessing the full potential of scientific advancements. When research findings are communicated clearly and acted upon, they can meaningfully shape public understanding, policy, and health outcomes. In practice, however, this translation is rarely straightforward.
The COVID-19 pandemic starkly illustrated how widespread misunderstandings of the scientific process — especially its dynamic, iterative nature — can fuel confusion and exacerbate a public health crisis. During that time, I began creating approachable scientific explainer videos to help bridge the gap between rapidly emerging science and public understanding. Those early pandemic-focused videos were widely shared and resonated with a broad audience. I’ve since expanded my videos to cover a wider range of scientific topics, all unified by the goal of translating complex scientific ideas into content that is accurate, engaging, and accessible to everyone
